Hello! My name is Clanton, and I'm a robust, energetic young dog who is approximately 7 months old.

I arrived at the West Memphis Animal Shelter on July 8, 2026, after a frightening Fourth of July weekend. The sound of firecrackers had me terrified, and I showed up at a kind woman's home looking for safety. Because the shelter was closed for the weekend, she protected and cared for me until the staff returned and could pick me up.

My stray hold has now ended, and I'm ready for adoption! I am heartworm negative and up to date on my vaccines.

As a young, active dog, I would love a home with plenty of room to exercise-possibly a large, securely fenced yard where I can run and play. An energetic family, perhaps with active children who can keep up with me after a proper meet-and-greet, may be a wonderful match.

I survived a very scary experience and am ready to leave shelter life behind. Come meet me, spend some time with me, and see whether I'm the lively new companion your family has been waiting for!

Clanton is raring to find a safe, loving home of his own.
